Quantity: | |
Appearance: A transparent colorless liquid with a mild smell.
Stability: 1. Avoid contact with strong oxidants. It has the chemical reactivity of secondary alcohol. It contains asymmetric carbon atoms and has two optical isomers. The finished product is raceme. The dextral isomer (type d) is prepared from the acid phthalic acid ester's muscarine salt [α]21.3D +20.4°. The L-isomer (type I) is prepared from the muscovine salt of acid succinate[α] 14D -20.8°.
2. It is toxic. LD502.6g/kg is given orally to rats. The steam has a stimulating effect on skin and mucous membrane. Long-term contact will cause headache and other symptoms. Move to fresh air immediately after inhalation. After contact with skin, rinse with plenty of water. The maximum allowable concentration in the air is 100mg/m3. Operators shall wear protective equipment.
Application: 4-methyl-2-pentanol is an excellent medium boiling point solvent. It is mainly used as a solvent for dyes, petroleum, rubber, resin, paraffin, nitrocellulose and ethyl cellulose, and as an inert solvent for nitrocellulose paint, which can increase the gloss and smoothness of the paint and improve the reddening performance; Used as solvent in the manufacture of lubricating oil additives. Raw materials for organic synthesis, mineral flotation detergent, such as extracted silicon and copper sulfate; It can also be used for brake fluid.
Packing and Storage: Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from kindling and heat sources. The storage temperature should not exceed 30 ℃. It shall be stored separately from oxidant and shall not be mixed. Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities shall be adopted. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to produce sparks. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and appropriate storage materials.
Packed in 200L iron drums with 150kg each. Store and transport according to the regulations of toxic chemicals.
